Tucked into a quiet neighborhood in Charlotte is a gem of a garden.
Imagine taking a trip to Bali and never really leaving home.
This garden was initially inspired, conceptualized and designed around
several Balinese lamps. A quiet pond filled with Koi was placed at the edge of the upper garden
which overlooks a grassy knoll that leads down to a running brook. This Koi pond and reflecting pool are truly the centerpiece of this "Garden Oasis".
Landscape Designer Bill Blair embraced the opportunities of this multi leveled piece of land and proceeded to work his own brand of alchemy. He worked hand in hand with the home owners to create an outdoor space that really is a series of use-able outdoor rooms.
He carefully choose materials that complemented the existing walls and the house. Stone of various hues was carefully selected and used throughout the project giving the garden an organic and thoughtful look.
The clients were excited to incorporate an outdoor kitchen that includes a grilling area and other state of the art features making cooking outside a gourmet experience.The morning light in this garden is magical, golden and filtered through the trees, reflecting into the pond. Birds abound and the energy of this garden is peaceful, quiet and filled with its own special joy.
